We connect our community with NBA players, coaches, and elite trainers through development-focused leagues, training, and camps designed to build skills, confidence, and positive relationships — all within an inspiring, supportive environment.

founder of justhoop hawaii

What began as Just Hoop Maui in 2024 has grown into Just Hoop HI, bringing high-level basketball camps, private training, and 3v3 leagues to communities across Hawai‘i. I’m Cody Tesoro — a former collegiate and professional player — and when my playing career came to a close, I knew I wanted to stay deeply connected to the game.

Through Just Hoop Maui, I leveraged the relationships and experience I built over the years to bring elite coaches and players to Maui, helping to develop and elevate our local basketball community. With the growing interest and demand, we’re now expanding to the other Hawaiian Islands through Just Hoop HI, creating more opportunities for players of all ages to improve their skills, compete, and grow both on and off the court.

AKACHI OKUGO
PLAYER DEVELOPMENT COACH + CONSULTANT

Just Hoop HI is proud to welcome Akachi Okugo to the team as a Player Development Coach and Consultant. Akachi “Coach Kach” brings over 10 years of experience working across the NBA, NBA G-League, international professional leagues, and national teams, with a strong focus on long-term athlete development and performance optimization.

His coaching journey includes roles with the Sacramento Kings and Stockton Kings, the Nike Hoop Summit World Team, and multiple national teams including Egypt, Nigeria, and Jordan. Akachi recently helped lead Egypt to the 2023 FIBA World Cup, its first appearance in 16 years. He is passionate about pouring his global knowledge into Hawaiʻi’s youth, helping players build strong fundamentals, high basketball IQ, and the habits needed to reach their full potential.

KYLE GUY
PLAYER DEVELOPMENT COACH + CONSULTANT

Just Hoop HI is excited to welcome Kyle Guy to the coaching staff. A former Indiana Mr. Basketball and NCAA National Champion at the University of Virginia, Kyle was selected in the 2019 NBA Draft by the New York Knicks and went on to play for the Miami Heat and Sacramento Kings.

Kyle also brings valuable Division I coaching experience along with professional playing experience in Europe and China, giving him a well-rounded, global perspective on player development. His background at the highest levels of the game allows him to connect with athletes of all ages while teaching the fundamentals, habits, and mindset needed to succeed.
